MatPilates Matwork is the free body pilates version. All you need is basically a mat and the right focus on your body to start!
A Matwork session is based on the fundamental principles developed by Pilates himself through a repertoire of exercises aimed at strengthening the core as well as the extremities - arms and legs - maintaining their length, flexibility, improving joint mobility on all levels of movement and finally improving general posture, alignment and even coordination. It fits everyone, regardless of age, gender and physical fitness. Each exercise can be modified and adapted according to specific needs. |
ReformerThe Reformer is one of the Pilates machines, the first that the creator of the method himself designed in the 1920s in NY. It is a sort of bed with a sliding carriage, equipped with a very simple system of springs with different resistances, ropes and handles. The play of the different resistances, the mobile carriage and the ropes, provides immediate feedback and accelerates the process of awareness of the movement that is taking place. The Reformer, like the Mat, is accessible to everyone, and is recommended for those approaching pilates for the first time before moving on to the mat - or in combination for a full workout!

TRX
The TRX – Training Suspension Exercises- is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.
I love using TRX combined with Pilates principles to create a varied, dynamic lesson that combines a "military" approach to the quality of the movements.
Muscle strength, flexibility and control harmonise with visible and sensitive results.

Special classes
SeniorPilates is a discipline suitable for all ages. As a low impact activity, it is recommended for older people who can benefit through practice by improving balance, posture, muscle strength, flexibility and breathing, all aspects that change considerably with age and with more or less severe dysfunctions related to it. It is also indicated to restore muscle and joint function after major surgery – e.g. hip replacement or spine surgery.
|
SportPilates is highly recommended to all athletes who practice any sport at an amateur or competitive level. This is because it helps to develop the deeper muscles needed to stabilise the joints. Furthermore, the connection between mind and body required in the practice of Pilates significantly improves concentration and awareness of movements, necessary for those who practice sports at a certain level.
|
Ante-NatalThe practice of Pilates is now increasingly widespread throughout pregnancy, to prepare the expectant mother's body to childbirth. By strengthening the back muscles, reducing back pain through the alignment of the spine, reactivating circulation to reduce swelling and, especially in the third trimester, focusing on preparing the pelvis for expulsion, Pilates has, over time, proved efficacy and validity ... And, why not, to practice with the future dad!
|
Post-NatalPostnatal Pilates is an ideal choice of self-care for new-moms. It's a relaxed but effective approach to restore the functionality of the “abdominal corset”, bring the spine and pelvis back into physiological alignment and build strength where the new mother will need it most - strong arms and legs to support the newborn!
And in case you are wondering… no need for childcare, your little one is more than welcome to join the class with you! :) |
Format
1:1A 1:1 Pilates session offers the unique opportunity to perform a tailored repertoire of exercises under the supervision and careful guidance of the instructor, who can easily suggest any changes to the exercise and make the adjustments to the posture. In general, the pace of an individual session is slower, allowing deeper concentration on every single aspect of the movement, starting with breathing, and providing immediately perceptible benefits.
|
GroupsA group Pilates class is an excellent alternative – economically advantageous - to the individual session and an ideal way to keep fit and have fun at the same time. To ensure an effective and targeted workout it is important to limit the number of participants to 3-5. This will give to the instructor the opportunity to follow and guide each participant, and to the students the space - physical and mental - necessary for concentration but at the same time the fun.

OnlineOnline/ virtual Pilates sessions are not an absolute novelty, but they have certainly become a must during this unprecedented time. A good device- laptop, tablet, mobile- and a good Internet connection will allow you to regularly keep doing your home workout and maintain a healthy routine, for body and mind, which now more than ever plays a vital role.
|
OfflineIn the tranquility of your home, according to your schedule needs, just a mat and 60 minutes of time will be enough... offline/in person Pilates session is the option that best combines the desire to dedicate time to yourself - under the guidance of a professional - with the daily needs and commitments that do not always match with those of the courses offered by gyms.
Available in nearly all metropolitan areas of London. Offline sessions are currently unavailable due to anti Covid-19 restrictions. |
